I should explain. There are twelve finalists in the New Yorker's Annual Eustace Tilley Contest, which challenges readers to reinterpret Rea Irvin's design of the magazine's mascot dandy. My entry, "Schach Treatment", (above) was one of the twelve winning designs for the 2009 competition, and it's the only one of my entries that ever made it to the finals. (These aren't actual New Yorker magazine covers, just designs conforming to the contest's parameters.)
One of my entries for the New Yorker's annual Eustace Tilley Competition, depicting the then-imminent expiration of Popeye's European copyright. This one didn't win, but it was, at least, discussed briefly on the Comics Journal message board .
Here's a scan of the art for the RAMONES T-shirt I did back in 1995, with my original wonky hand-lettering. Later versions of the shirt featured the same cartoon in the circular frame with bold sans serif lettering more consistent with the look of most of the other RAMONES shirts.
